2006年11月，世界500强公司之一的Office Depot在北京宣布,收购国内大的B2B电子商务公司亚商在线。Office Depot公司董事长兼首席执行官斯蒂夫·欧兰表示，该公司对于亚洲经济发展非常重视，中国是全球经济发展快的地区之一，因此该公司在继日本、韩国之后，选择并购的方式进入中国市场。据了解，创立于1999年的亚商在线是中国目前大的办公用品与办公服务提供商之一，而Office Depot公司是世界大的电子商务零售商之一，网上年销售额达38亿美元。
